Celebrating African American Music Appreciation Month,
AARLCC of Palm Beach County, Inc. paid tribute to
Motown's legend and 'Prince of Soul' with
Marvin Gaye Forever Stamp Dedication to
Palm Beach County's Heros and Sheros.
Postmaster Ernst Onody dedicated a plaque to AARLCC of Palm Beach County, Inc.,
in memory of Mrs. Ineria E. Hudnell and Mr. L. A. Kirksey
who were educators at Roosevelt High School.
Marvin Gaye stamp was presented to Mayor, Keith James of West Palm Beach, FL,
Dr. Debra Robinson of the Palm Beach County School District 7, and Mr. Bruce McDonald, retired educator of Roosevelt High School, located in West Palm Beach, FL
This was a Chat, Chew and Chill event held at the Urban League of Palm Beach County. Some attendees received a "Marvin Gaye" coffee mug and others received the actual forever stamp pane.
The Marvin Gaye Forever Stamp is the ninth in Postal Service's Music Icon Series. Other musical icons were Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and John Lennon.
